Experiments in High-Performance Robotic Visual Servoing
نویسنده
چکیده
| This paper discusses some important control design issues for robot visual servoing, in particular high-performance tracking. The limitations of pure visual feedback control are discussed, and an approach based on axis velocity control and estimated target velocity feedforward is proposed. Experimental results are obtained with a 50Hz low-latency vision system and an end-eeector mounted camera to close the robots position loop.

SEM-based motion control for automated robotic nanohandling
Nanoobjects such as carbon nanotubes and other nanowires have become of significant interest for both research and industrial applications due to their unique electrical, chemical, optical and mechanical properties. As humans lack both the motor skills and the sensing capabilities on this scale, nanohandling robots are commonly employed in scanning electron microscopes to precisely characterize...
متن کاملNon-Linear PID Control for Robotic Manipulator Visual Servoing
This paper presents an experimental study on the use of visual servoing for robotic tracking and manipulation of targets moving on a plane. In this work, the image is acquired from the camera mounted on the end-effector of a 6 DOF industrial robot, so that the camera moves on a plane parallel to that of object motion. Using a PID visual controller to minimize the relative displacement between o...

Robotic manipulation of daily-life objects is an essential requirement in service robotic applications. In that context image based visual servoing is a means to position the end-effector in order to manipulate objects of unknown pose. This contribution proposes a 6 DOF visual servoing scheme that relies on the pixel coordinates, scale and orientation of SIFT features. The control is based on g...

This paper presents an attractive position-based visual sewoing approach for camera-in-hand robotic systems. The major contribution of this work is in devising an elegant and pragmatic approach for 3 0 visual tracking. The proposed Modijied Smith Predictor (MSP)-DeMenthon-Horaud (DH) visual sewoing system has shown to be reliable and yielded good target tracking performance. It d@er from the ot...
متن کاملPerformance Tests for Visual Servo Control Systems, with Application to Partitioned Approaches to Visual Servo Control
Visual servoing has been a viable method of robot manipulator control for more than a decade. Initial developments involved position-based visual servoing (PBVS), in which the control signal exists in Cartesian space. The younger method, image-based visual servoing (IBVS), has seen considerable development in recent years. PBVS and IBVS offer tradeoffs in performance, and neither can solve all ...
